Application Process

1

Complete the online inquiry form. Once you complete the form, our Admissions Committee will automatically receive electronic notification of your request. A member of the Admissions Committee will contact you to schedule a tour.

2

After initial approval, an application link will be sent. Transcripts and two letters of recommendation from current or former teachers are required for students entering first grade through High School. Once your application is submitted, a meet and greet and/or age-level assessment appointment will be scheduled. If entering during an academic year, a shadow day will be included.

3

You will be notified by email of the Admissions Committee's final decision regarding acceptance. If accepted, once you confirm your offer to enroll at Terra, your application will move into the registration process. Once registration information is entered and initial payment received, you will receive an email confirming your child’s start date.

Please note that your learner will be placed in the grade-level program that aligns with our analysis of the transcripts, letters, diagnostics, and guide assessment.

Admissions Timeline: 2024-25 School Year

The deadline for applications for the 2024/2025 school year is March 29, 2024.

Students who apply by this deadline will be notified on Saturday, March 30, 2024, as to the status of their acceptance.

After this deadline, and as space permits, Terra School will continue accepting new applications on a rolling basis.

Decisions

Almost all of the wonderful applicants to Terra School at Serenbe are qualified for our academics and would be great fits for our community, yet we have only a limited number of openings each year, which makes the decisions difficult. There are a number of factors in selecting new students, including but not limited to attention given to age, family involvement, and the diversity and inclusion vital to creating a rich and interesting school community.

As a member of the Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS), Terra School at Serenbe has agreed to abide by a set of common admissions procedures, including uniform notification dates for admission decisions and financial aid awards. Decisions will be sent by email on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

AAAIS members (our faculty and staff) have also agreed not to contact families between the admissions notification date and the applicant’s reply date. While we are happy to return phone calls, this policy does not allow for visits to our campus or meetings with representatives of our school during this period, so please be sure to check out everything that is of interest to you and your family BEFORE that deadline. To learn more, follow this link to the AAAIS Principles of Good Practice in Recruiting and Admitting Students.

A signed enrollment contract and the enrollment fee must be submitted with acceptance of our offer of admission by the reply date deadline.
